Meet the team - Barry

We're incredibly proud of our team at Dolby Vivisol and are continuing to put some faces to the names of those people you may have been in touch with or who work 'behind the scenes' to ensure that delivery, service, technology and clinical expertise are always catered for. 

Today, we're sharing the chat we had with Barry.

What do you do? 
I'm the Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor based at our head office in Crawley. I'm responsible for the health and safety of our employees and all the environmental initiatives implemented throughout the business. 

What does your day involve? 
I work within the quality team, reviewing risk assessments for our business activities, initiating new health and safety projects, ensuring all equipment safety inspections are completed and that all employees are compliant with our health and safety training.

I also oversee the environmental projects for the business collecting data, monitoring waste, energy usage and the mileage our fleet covers. Given the light that COP26 has shone on climate change, it's helped us all be more aware of the changes we can make. 

What's the best thing about your job? 
Keeping everyone safe, interacting with all levels of the business and implementing environmental projects to reduce our businesses carbon footprint. 

How do you unwind after a day's work? 
I like to spend time with my family. I keep fit and work out, it keeps me in a positive mindset!
